Property (Digital Assets etc) Bill passes to House of Commons
15 May 2025The UK Property (Digital Assets etc) Bill has completed its third reading in the House of Lords with no further amendments and passed to the House of Commons for consideration. The Bill will give effect to recommendations of the Law Commission to confirm in statute that a thing that is digital or electronic in nature is not prevented from being personal property. The Bill had its first reading in the House of Commons on 12 May and it has now been referred to a Second Reading Committee.
